BONNIE LOU ANDERSON, 82 ROCKFORD - Bonnie Lou (Girard) Anderson, 82, of Rockford died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, from complications after a stroke. She is dearly missed. Born May 17, 1930, in Ladysmith, Wis., she was the daughter of Arthur and Anna (Matecky) Girard. After graduating high school, Bonnie studied Fine Art at Rae Vogue and The Art Institute of Chicago. She later worked for The Silvestri Display Company. Bonnie "Pookie," married Tom Anderson in November 1951. After living in Cody, Wyo., and Beloit, Wis., they settled in Rockford where they raised three sons, Todd, Fritz and Daniel. With her love of art, Bonnie spent her years both taking and teaching many classes. A talent that was passed to her sons and reborn in her cherished granddaughters. She leaves behind husband, Tom; sons, Todd (Paula), Fritz (Kel) and Dan (Sally); granddaughters, Holly, Bridget and Vivian; and sister, Geraldine Pratt. She was predeceased by parents; infant son, Fritz James; brothers, Warren and James Girard; and sister, Annamae Girard.
