BRIAN DEAN DAY MONTELLO, Wis. - Brian Dean Day, known to all as "Beezer," of Montello passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at Venice Regional Medical Center in Venice, Fla. Born Sept. 27, 1944, in Loves Park, Ill. A proud member of the Marine Corps, serving from 1963 to 1967, and served honorably in Vietnam. He spent his winters in Englewood, Fla., with his wife, Sandi. Brian was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 219 before moving to Montello, where he and Sandi were proud owners of the Good Old "Days" Resort on Lake Puckaway. There he became very involved in his community serving as president of the Tavern League; active Board Member of the Montello Chamber of Commerce; involved in the Puckaway Lake Association; River Country Bass Masters; president of the Montello Lions Club, which included serving as zone chairman and receiving the highest honor, the "Melvin Jones Award"; proud member of the VFW Post 10452 of Princeton, the American Legion Post 351 of Montello, and American Legion Post 113 of Rotonda West, Fla. Survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sandra; daughters, Shannon (Chris) Timmerman of Pardeeville, Katie (Kenny) Barzano of Markesan and Jodi (Sam) Morley of Port Charlotte, Fla.; sons, Brian Lindgren of Rockford, Ill., and Dean Amans of Beloit; grandchildren, Megan, Kelsey, Amanda, Jimmy, Alyssa and Leslie; great-grandchildren, Avery and Jace; sister, Joanne DePew of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and brother, Craig (Betty) Day of Poplar Grove, Ill. Predeceased by mother, Mildred (Shroyer) Day; father, Celestin Day; and brother, Richard Day. Service at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at St. John's Catholic Church in Princeton, Wis.
