CHARLOTTE DENISE 'CHAR T' THOMPSON, 50 ROCKFORD - Charlotte Denise "Char T" Thompson, 50, of Rockford departed this earthly life Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012. She was born Feb. 9, 1962, in Jackson, Miss., the daughter of Arthur G. and Mary Thompson. Charlotte lived in Rockford 30 years, coming from Flint, Mich. She was employed as a machine operator by Esterline BVR Technologies for three years. Charlotte attended St. Paul Church of God in Christ. She graduated from Auburn High School, Class of 1980, later to attend Rock Valley College and Rockford Business College. Charlotte leaves to cherish many loving memories, daughters, Shandora Thompson and Shannon Thompson; grandchildren, Juqary Moss Jr., and Mary Lee Alize Thompson-Crayton; sisters, Brenda (Odell) Crayton, TiKesha Thompson, Tareka Thompson, Cherish Locke and Ebonee Locke; brothers, Gene Thompson Sr., and Marcus Funches; stepbrothers, Darryl and Keith Crayton; stepsister, Geraldine Horton; paternal grandmother, Lula Bell Thompson; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends including special friends, Dawn Angel Miller and Bruce Lumpkins. Predeceased by her parents; son, Marvin Thompson; and stepfather, Jerry Locke. Service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, in St. Paul COGIC, with visitation from 11 a.m. to time of service. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home, 2429 W. State St.
