David A. Summeril 1951—2019
David A. Summeril, 67, of South Beloit, IL, went to the big meeting on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, IL.
He was born on July 22, 1951, the son of Robert and Iva (Baxter) Summeril. David was a 1969 graduate of South Beloit High School. He married Jodi Miles on March 15, 2002 in Bahia Honda Key, FL.
David was the owner and operator of Summeril Heating and Air. He loved riding motorcycles where ever the road took him, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. David was an active and passionate member in recovery in the Rockford and Beloit areas for 31 years, and on the board of directors at the Alano Club of Rockford, IL. He enjoyed camping and judging boots.
Survivors include his wife, Jodi Summeril of South Beloit, IL; children, Michelle (Curtis Weir) Summeril of Lakewood, CO, Marci Cochran of Schertz, TX, John (Nicole) Miles of Roscoe, IL, and Jamie Martin of Loves Park, IL; grandchildren, Mayci Cochran, Elizabeth Miles, Jamie Martin III, Alex Miles, Jaden Martin, Zoiey Cochran-Schmid, Drake Summeril Ferguson, Adelyn Miles, Avery Miles, Emily Reyes, and Jake Reyes; aunts, uncles, cousins, and his two spoiled rotten puppy dogs, Rudie and Dolly.
He was predeceased by his parents, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI, with Fr. Jerome Koutnik. Visitation of remembrance will be from 1:00 until 4:15 p.m. before the service Tuesday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be given in his name to the Alano Club of Rockford.
