David Smith Obituary

DAVID ROBERT SMITH, 55 LAKE SUMMERSET - David Robert Smith, 55, of Lake Summerset, formerly of Belvidere, died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, in Kindred Hospital, Sycamore. Born Aug. 12, 1954, in Muscotine, Iowa, the son of Robert and Marjorie (Irwin) Smith. Graduated from Belvidere High School in 1972, and was employed as a truck driver by Pals Trucking Co. in Leaf River. He was a 20 year member of Masonic Lodge no. 60 in Belvidere. Survived by sisters, Connie (John) Arco of Lake Summerset and Bonnie (Dale) Moss of Belvidere; three nieces and nephews; four great-nieces and -nephews; and many friends. Predeceased by parents. Graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, in Highland Garden of Memories, 9700 IL Route 76, Belvidere. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Liver Foundation - Illinois Chapter, 180 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 1870, Chicago, IL 60601. Arrangements by Highland Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 9800 IL Route 76, Belvidere, 815-544-2750.
