DEBBIE 'DEBRA' LYNN TATE, 54 ROCKFORD - Debbie "Debra" Lynn Tate, 54, of Rockford departed this earthly life Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, in her home, after a short illness. She was born Dec. 26, 1957, in Rockford; the daughter of Robert and Mary Tate. Debbie lived most of her life in Rockford living a few years in Atlanta, Chicago and Beloit, Wis. She was employed two years in human resources by Lowes Distribution Center. Debbie was a member of God's Power House Ministry, serving on the Mothers Board and formerly serving as the church secretary. She was a volunteer for Gods People Servant at Faith Community. She attended West High School, later to receive her GED. Debbie leaves to cherish many loving memories, her mother, Mary Thurman; sons, Terry (Arnesha) Tate and Devail "Fontain" (Rachael) Tate; eight grandchildren; brothers, Nathaniel (Shelly) Gaskin and Gregory (Angela) Tate; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Diane Harrington, Tonya Norfleet and Joy Hubbard. Predeceased by her father. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Faith Walkers Assembly, 315 Laclede Ave., with doors open from 10 a.m. to time of service.
