Dennis started several businesses in Pekin, including DD Dray Construction. The last 26 years he lived in Rockford, IL and was married to his loving wife, Dwanda whom he met in Hot Springs VIllage, AR. They enjoyed traveling to Florida in the winter for several years and loved playing card games with their neighbors when they were unable to travel any longer. Prospect, IL, Dana Dray, Scottsdale, AZ, Jackie Reingardt (Jake), Denver, CO and Dillon Dray (Deliah) Kahului, Maui, HI; 6 great-grandchildren, Vincent, Philip and Donald Strand, Roman Korab, and Henry and Charles Reingardt. He enjoyed the many memories of the fishing trips he took with his sons to Canada and Alaska and playing golf. He enjoyed his family at Dasco Pro the last 25 years where he worked building and repairing anything needed. He loved to garden and spent his final moments with Dwanda by his side, looking over his beautiful yard and watching the many birds. Predeceased by his sisters, Ethel Dugie Brienen and Darlene Crummer and Mary Ann.
There will be a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, IL, with Father Keith Romke officiating.
