DONNA J. CARTER, 58 ROSCOE - Donna J. Carter, 58, ended her 2-1/2 year courageous battle with cancer on Monday, September 16, 2013, with her husband at her side. Born on September 11, 1955, in Rockford, daughter of Dolores (Fioretti) and the late Dan Cataldi. Graduated from Winnebago High School in 1973. Married Douglas Carter on July 14, 1995. Worked many years as secretary/customer service for Rockford Culligan, FMA and Belvidere Culligan. She was an avid NASCAR race fan. Donna gave unwavering support and encouragement to her family and friends. She valued her Italian heritage and way of life through music, history, decorating, and especially, cooking from an Italian cookbook with Doug. Donna demonstrated how to live with gusto and how to die with dignity. Survivors include her husband, Doug; mother, Dolores Cataldi; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Cindy Cataldi; nephew, Bryan; in-laws, Thomas and Betty Carter; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Predeceased by her father, Dan Cataldi. A special thank you to Beloit Regional Hospice. As per Donna's request, a celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2013, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the VFW-Roscoe Post, 2955, 11385 2nd Street, Roscoe, IL.
