DOROTHY J. 'DOTTIE' DAY, 82 LOVES PARK - Dorothy J. "Dottie" Day, 82, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully, February 2, 2014. Born January 25, 1932, in Loves Park to Raymond and Leah Husen. 1950 graduate of Harlem High School. She married Richard E. "Dick" Day, August 2, 1952. Together they owned and operated Park Bowl for more than 20 years. Dottie enjoyed reading, cross-stitching, Jeopardy and pool exercising with her friends in Texas. She was very active in helping with golf leagues in Pharr, TX. Survivors include children, Denise (Rick) Stelma, Diane (Al) Fillmore, Dann (Yolanda) Day, and Tammi Day Sefranek; grandchildren, Stephanie Perkins, Michael and Jennifer Fay, Kenny, Dann Jr., and Taylor Day, Nicholas and Jacob Sefranek; great-granddaughter, Sarah Fay; siblings, William (Mary) Husen and Laurel Morey; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; husband, Dick; brother, Richard Husen. Memorial Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 8, at Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 11342 Main St., Roscoe, IL, with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service.
