DOSHIA LEE ARBERRY ROCKFORD - Doshia Lee Arberry of Rockford, departed this earthly life December 23, 2013, in her home, after a short illness. She was born June 6, 1934, in Chidester, Arkansas; the daughter of Cal Windon Moss and Ethel Moss. Doshia lived in Rockford over 50 years, coming from Camden, Arkansas. She married John Arberry Sr. July of 1964, he preceded her in death. Doshia was employed as a machine operator over 30 years by Nelson Knitting before retiring. She was a former member of Macedonia Baptist Church, where she served as an Usher. She attended Schools in Arkansas. Doshia, leaves to cherish many loving memories, her daughter, Bessie Arberry; son, John Self Arberry Jr.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucinda Richardson and Ethel (Cal) Hampton; brothers, Ardie, Earl and Johnnie (Ann) Moss; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband; parents; and ten brothers and sisters. Special thanks to Heartland Hospice for all your help. Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Ephesians Missionary Baptist Church, 1112 Taylor Street. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home, 2429 W. State St.
