GRACE RUTH DIETZE, 93 OREGON - Grace Ruth Dietze, 93, of Oregon died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, in KSB Hospital, Dixon. She was born June 20, 1919, in Chicago, the daughter of Arthur and Elsie (Bladorn) Jungblut. She married Arthur W. Dietze on June 15, 1940, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicago, after a one year courtship. Grace graduated from Austin High School and played as a substitute organist at several Lutheran churches throughout her life. She also directed junior choirs and sang in senior choirs for many years. She also played her accordion for her father's parties for CNW Railroad. She and Art moved to Oregon in 1959, and owned and operated Fischer's Store in Oregon from 1963 until 1980. Grace was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she substituted on the organ, sang in the choir, and was a member of the Dorcas Circle. She was also a member of Oregon Country Club for many years and Chapter IU of P.E.O. Through all the entertaining and fun loving things she did, one thing always stood out-her strong faith in the Lord. Survivors include her husband, Arthur; daughters, Allegra Gicla of Greensboro, N.C., and Val (Jack) Glotfelty of Oregon; grandchildren, Nicole (Mitchell) Krasowski of Greensboro, Scott (Misty) Beaty of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Aaron (Melissa) Beaty of DeKalb; and great-grandchildren, Madeline, Kate, Morgan and David. She was preceded in death by son-in-law, David Beaty. Funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, in St. Paul Lutheran Church, (Fifth and Jefferson), Oregon, with visitation from 1 p.m. to time of service. Burial in Daysville Cemetery.
