HARRY A. MOGGE, 85 OREGON - Harry A. Mogge, 85, of Oregon died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, in Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital, Dixon. Born Nov. 26, 1926, in Chicago; the son of Harry A. and Alma (Otto) Mogge Sr. He married Hilda A. Hodel on Feb. 26, 1949, in Chicago; she died in 2007. Harry lived in Oregon since 1996, and was a resident of Arlington Heights from 1963 to 1988. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Oregon, where he served as a Eucharistic minister and an usher. He was also a past president of the Oregon Lions Club and received the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship Award. Harry enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and playing card games. Survivors include son, Robert (Karen) Mogge of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughters, Barbara Mason of Colorado Springs and Nancy (David) Ayers of Palatine; daughter-in-law, Donna Mogge of Oregon; grandchildren, Jim and Nancy Mogge, Anna (Brendan) Whelan, Shannon and Meghan Mason, Abi, Karla and Nellie Mogge, and Troy and Sam Ayers; great-grandchildren, Zachery and Aiden Whelan; nieces, nephews and many loving friends. Predeceased by son, Thomas Mogge. Christian Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, in St. Mary Catholic Church, Oregon, with the Rev. Richard Kramer, former pastor, as celebrant. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Oregon. Visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, in Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 110 S. Seventh St., Oregon.
