Joan E. Beyer, of Clinton, WI, passed away July 11, 2018. Joan was born September 14, 1931, in Rockford, IL, daughter of Henning and Evelyn (Magnuson) Anderson. As a teenager, Joan was an avid Rockford Peaches fan. She ushered for Peaches home games and frequently accompanied the team on road trips to other cities. She married Elmer Beyer in Rockford on August 19, 1950. Joan moved from Rockford to Clinton in 1972, when Elmer and his brother, Al became the owners of Clinton Certified Foods. Over the years Joan was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Rockford, Pella Lutheran Church in Clinton, and Jefferson Prairie Lutheran Church in Clinton. Throughout her life Joan enjoyed traveling and family. There were numerous road trips with Elmer as they visited various parts of the United States and she could always be counted on to have her camera in hand at family gatherings. Hobbies included quilting, crafts, bowling and gardening. Joan was predeceased by her parents and sister, Jeannie (Gene) Rogers. Special thanks to Beloit Hospice, along with volunteers, caregivers, and friends for the love, attention, and assistance they have given Joan over the past year.
