John Hilliard Obituary

JOHN HILLIARD JR., 47 ROCKFORD - John Hilliard Jr., 47, passed away suddenly Sunday, May 15, 2011. Born Dec. 29, 1963, in Rockford, the son of John Sr., and Marie (Armato) Hilliard. John was a 1982 graduate of Rockford Jefferson High School. Employed as a baker at Hilander Foods for many years and recently worked at Kishwaukee Tap. John was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan and loved to fish every opportunity he could. He was a big sports fan and played baseball, softball and bowled. He enjoyed the time he spent with his Kishwaukee Tap friends and acquaintances. Survivors include his fiancée, Renata Seif; son, Jonathon Hilliard III; daughter, Kecia Seif; grandsons, Dysin and Camryn Harding, all of Rockford; sisters, Kay (Dave) Rumple of Rockford and Sue Loos of Loves Park; nieces, Gayle McMullen, Erin McMullen and Heather Rumple; nephew, Dustin Rumple; great-niece, Mea McMullen; and numerous cousins. Predeceased by parents; grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory at 1860 S. Mulford Road is assisting the family. Express online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.

Sorry for your loss I know what it is like to lose a brother and a father. I met Jonh through Kecia. John taught me alot about fishing he was a wonderful man and the best cook he will forever be missed.
