John Jones Obituary

JOHN A. JONES, 55 BELVIDERE - John A. Jones, 55, a lifelong Belvidere resident, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, in SwedishAmerican Hospital. Born Jan. 16, 1954, the son of C. John and Eleanor (Groff) Jones. Graduated from Belvidere High School in 1972, and was a fork lift operator at Apache Foam for 25 years. He loved horses, riding, football, and was an avid Packer fan. He also loved the West and spent time with his sister and brother-in-law in Wyoming. Lifelong member of Moose Home 575. Survived by mother, Eleanor of Belvidere; sister, Nickie (William) Pollock of Sundance, Wyo.; nephew, Jon (Mindy) Solem of Belvidere; niece, Jeannie (Ronald) Stefanik of Addison; great-niece, Addison Solem; and close friend, Steve Kiley of Belvidere. Predeceased by father, C. John Jones. Service at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, in the Chapel of Memories in Highland Garden of Memories, 9700 IL Route 76, Belvidere, with visitation from 10 a.m. to time of service. Burial in Highland Garden of Memories. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family to be donated to a charity of their choice. Arrangements by Highland Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 9800 IL Route 76, Belvidere, 815-544-2750.

John was a very caring man and who will leave behind many many friends who loved and adored him. Please take comfort in knowing that he is at peace now and is probably walking the pathways in heaven with CJ as we speak.
