JUNE V. BUNTE, 95 LOVES PARK - June V. Bunte, 95, of Loves Park, IL passed away at 5:20 a.m. Saturday (November 9, 2013) in Rockford, IL. She was born March 6, 1918 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Winona and Harry R. Crowcroft. June retired from working in Quincy, IL at the Brown Drug Company in 1978. After retirement, she moved to northern Illinois to live with her daughter and son-in-law. June was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Rockford. She enjoyed doing handicraft work, sewing, working jigsaw puzzles, and reading mysteries. She had a special love for animals and was featured in the "Heart of DeKalb" column in the DeKalb, IL newspaper on March 31, 2004 because of her generous contributions to several charities. June is survived by her son, Dr. Harry G. Crowcroft and his wife, the Rev. Sidney of Quincy, IL; a daughter, Toni Neitzel of Loves Park, IL; and grandchildren, Harry Alan Crowcroft and his wife, Eun of Aurora, IL, Dr. David Stanley Crowcroft and his partner, Manuel Fonseca of Madison, WI, Karen Louise Cain and her husband, Mark of Rocky River, OH and Laura Ann Rosenberg and her husband, Brendan of Rockford, IL. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, Grace Crowcroft, Jacob Andrew and Adam Isaiah Cain. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Elvin Bunte; a son-in-law, Harold Neitzel Jr.; and a great-granddaughter, Meghan Anne Rosenburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, in the Christ United Methodist Church in Rockford, IL with the Revs. Scott Himel and Sidney Crowcroft officiating. Interment will be Friday afternoon, 3 p.m. in Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
