Kathryn M. Wade-Fansler Obituary
Kathryn M. Wade-Fansler 1996—2018
Kathryn M. Wade-Fansler, 21, of Loves Park, passed away June 7, 2018. She was born September 14, 1996, in Rockford, the daughter of Toby and Sarah (Rehling) Wade. She is survived by her spouse, Nathanael Fansler; mother, Sarah; son, Wade; siblings, Kalin (fiancé, Aubrey Smith), Riley and Emma; great-grandparent, Edith Bevan; grandparents, Randall and Patricia Wade, Charles and Jeanne Rehling, Rick and Margaret Tetrick; aunts, uncles and cousins who all loved her very much. Predeceased by her father, Toby Wade on March 17, 2018. Kathryn was a fiercely loyal and kind-hearted person, who would go to the ends of the earth for you. She was constantly coming up with new ideas and ways to do things. An avid reader who wasn't afraid to snag a book from your shelf and shared the same love of literature as her dad. She enjoyed crafting soaps, candles and other things that Nathanael would tidy up behind her. She has a knack for bringing life into things by raising chicks and geese for her Papa, and reconstructing fish tanks for her fish and snails. She had a way with words as she weaved her own stories and poems to life. She was always drawing something somewhere, whether it was on paper, canvas or herself. She wasn't afraid of taking on a challenge or getting her hands dirty from hard work. She'd work Papa's farm doing anything to help him with the animals to harvesting honey. Katy loved music and earbuds, she would listen for hours. She enjoyed her times spent by the ocean and decided to return to school to pursue a degree in marine biology. She had yet to begin living life to its fullest potential and has been taken from our lives far too soon. She is loved by many and will be missed desperately. In Nathanael's words, living life with Katy he knew there would never be a dull moment! He loved her spunk. She was full of life and a force to be reckoned with. He admired her ability to speak her mind and tell you like it is. "It only takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, and a day to love them, but it takes an entire lifetime to forget them."
