KEVIN LEROY 'SKINNY LEROY' HESS, 55 ROCKFORD - Kevin Leroy "Skinny Leroy" Hess, 55, of Rockford died at 2:27 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at SwedishAmerican Hospital, after a long illness. Born Aug. 4, 1955, to Harold and Joan (Palmer) Hess. Married Nina Houston. Survived by wife, Nina; daughter, Valerie (Gary) Nicholson; sons, Shannon Fisher and Heath Fisher; grandchildren include his best buddy, Justus, Mya, Dakoda, Abby and Justin; brothers, David (Connie) Hess, Cary (Mary) Hess, Rodney and Joel Hess; mother, Joan (Jim Pumphrey) Hess; sisters, Laurene (Nick) D'Alessandro and Debra (Bob) Hopkins; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father, Harold, and sisters, Dana Miner and Valerie Hess. Memorial gathering from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at the Ellida Lodge, 1115 Fifth Ave., Rockford.
