LAWRENCE E. 'LARRY' BIHLMAN III BYRON - Lawrence E. "Larry" Bihlman III, of Byron passed away peacefully Friday, Oct., 25, 2013, in his home, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 6, 1960 in Gary, IN; the son of Lawrence E. and Nancy (Morrow) Bihlman II. He married Debra Moats Cooper in Byron on June 2, 1990. Larry was a graduate of Tri-State University in Angola, IN, with a degree in electrical engineering, and was an engineer with PerMar Security in Rockford. He enjoyed fishing in Lake Michigan, water and snow skiing, and traveling to Florida beaches. He was a Chicago Bears and Byron Tiger football fan. Survivors include his wife, Debra Cooper Bihlman; daughter, Jennifer (Craig) Spickler of Byron; son, Nathan Cooper of Byron; grandchildren, Ethan, Kennedy and Natalie Spickler; mother, Nancy Bihlman of Merrillville, IN; sister, Lori (Craig Peterson) Krebes of Kokomo, IN; mother-in-law, Linda Stein of Byron; sister-in-law, Laurie (Jerry) Reinders of Byron; brothers-in-law, Steve (Laura) Stein of South Beloit and Mike (Jeanine) Stein of Marengo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents; uncle, Bobis; cousin, Ronnie; and father-in-law, Fred Stein. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, October 29, 2013, in the United Church of Byron, 701 W. 2nd St., Byron, with Pastor Michael Mulberry officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until noon. Burial will be in Byron Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon or Focus House, Rochelle.
