Obituary Condolences

LINDA l. POZZI, 53 ROCKFORD - Linda L. Pozzi, 53, of Rockford passed away peacefully from a sudden illness Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at home. Born Sept. 18, 1959, in Rockford, daughter of Charles and Mary (Burnett) Thompson of Rockford. She married Anthony "Tony" Pozzi on Dec. 16, 1995. Linda was a loving wife and mother of five boys. Her passion for loving and caring for the boys was shown in her love to cook. It was the small details of life that Linda thought most important in loving her boys. Her generous and compassionate nature was exemplified countless times in her willingness to help anyone, often strangers she would never see again. Linda's passion and generosity were shown in her love for books, insisting a book read must not be kept but passed on for others to enjoy. She is survived by husband, Tony; sons, Garrett and Maxwell Anderson, Alex, Addison and Brennan Pozzi all of Rockford; father, Charles Thompson; brothers, Charles and Roy Thompson; sister, Peggy Magnuson; and loving friend, Becky Bamberger. Predeceased by mother, Mary Thompson. Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at Broadway Covenant Church, 3525 Broadway, with the Rev. Tom Linderman of Grace Point Community Church officiating. Private family burial in Orth Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church.
