LONNIE 'PETE' D. LOY JR., 45 SEATTLE - Lonnie "Pete" D. Loy Jr., 45, of Seattle passed away Tuesday May 1, 2012. Born July 27, 1966, in Rockford, Ill., to Lorne D. Loy and Lois J (Smith) Loy. He spent most of his life in Rockford and just recently located to Seattle. Through the years he was employed by several local trucking companies. He also volunteered as a firefighter for the New Milford Fire Dept., for many years. He enjoyed fishing, attending church, as well as spending time with his dogs, Thor and Teiwaz. Pete had a big heart, a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh and smile. Survived by wife, Vicki (Strouf) Loy of Seattle; daughter, Angela (Jesus) Nunez; grandson, Cesar Nunez; brothers, Gary (Sue) Mckibben, Curt (Anita) Loy, Ronnie Loy and Mike Loy; former wife, Jill Dewey; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, several with whom he held a special bond with, Linda, Bobby, and Stephanie Smith. Predeceased by parents and an aunt who always held a special spot in his heart, Lucille Smith. Graveside service at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at New Milford Cemetery, Pastor Tim Gumm will officiate.
