Lorraine Anderson Obituary

Lorraine V. Anderson, 84 SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Lorraine V. Anderson, 84, of Scottsdale, formerly of Belvidere, Ill., died Saturday, May 21, 2011, in Scottsdale after a lengthy illness with Alzheimer's. Born April 16, 1927, in Belvidere, the daughter of Floyd and Ethelyn (Smith) Hauth. Married Robert Anderson on Oct. 5, 1947, in Belvidere. Lorraine and Bob owned and managed Ace Hardware Stores for more than 30 years. Her family and friends were very important to her. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed church activities and going out for breakfast after services. Her family has many happy memories of time spent at their cottage on Lake Delavan, Wis. Survivors include her daughters, Natalie (Dennis) Morrison and Chris (Ed) Trachtenbarg; son, Tyler (Nancy); and grandchildren, Alex, Kelly, Jeb, Jenny, Jon, Mark (Ingrid) and David. Predeceased by her parents; and husband, Robert. Service at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 28, in Zion Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dr. Karl Otto officiating. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 27, in Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church or Alzheimer's Association.
