Marie Molter Obituary

MARIE J. 'JANET' MOLTER, 80 ROCKFORD - Marie J. "Janet" Molter, 80, of Rockford passed away Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, in Provena St. Anne Center. Born Sept. 22, 1930, in Rockford, daughter of Anton and Antoinette (Robeson) Bredholm. Married D. Claude Barnes on Aug. 15, 1951, and together they shared 28 wonderful years of marriage until his death April 1, 1979. She later married Harold Molter in May 1981; he predeceased her after 16 years of marriage. Janet was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and the Svithiod Club, and she loved playing cards. Survivors include sons, Mike (Sue) Maurchie and Jay Barnes; daughter, Claudia (Gary) Cecil; stepson, Ron (Pam) Molter; stepdaughter, Cornelia (Kevin) Wiggins; grandchildren, Dana, Carly and Nichole; brother, Jerry (Irene) Bredholm; and sister, Julie McCann. Predeceased also by parents. Private services. Arrangements completed by Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Rockford Chapel.
