Marion Sacia Obituary

MARION SACIA, 96 LOVING AUNT, GREAT-AUNT AND GREAT-GREAT-AUNT ROCKFORD - Marion Sacia, 96, of Rockford passed away at 10:36 a.m. Sunday, May 15, 2011, in Provena Cor Mariae. Born April 13, 1915, in Rockford, the daughter of August and Frida (Liden) Person. She married Charles "Chuck" Sacia on July 15, 1939; he died Feb. 1, 1999. Marion worked for Illinois Bell Telephone Co., for over 35 years. Member of Illinois Bell Pioneers club. She enjoyed her home and family gatherings. Survived by brother, Burdette Person of Placerville, Calif.; nieces, Marge Holmin, Jan Ferguson, Linda (Steve) Banuelos and Karen (Jeff) Jackson; nephews, James Person, Bruce Person and Ted (Shirley) Wilcox; great- nephew, Jeff (Judy) Holmin; great-niece, Susan (Tim) Krueger; great-great-niece, Dana Holmin; great-great-nephew, Grant Holmin; special neighbors, the Spillare family; and many other relatives. Service at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 19, at Olson Funeral & Cremation Services Ltd., Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave. Rockford, with visitation from 10 to 10:45 a.m.; the Rev. Cindy Marino will officiate. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Visiting Nurses Association, 4223 E. State St., Rockford, IL 61108.
