Mary White Obituary

MARY ANN WHITE, 61 BELVIDERE - Mary Ann White, 61, of Belvidere died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, in Maple Crest Nursing Home, after a brief illness. Born May 30, 1947, in Belvidere, the daughter of Russell L. And Maxine (Freitag) Osterberg. Married Terry White on June 18, 1966, in Belvidere. Mary Ann worked at St. Joseph Hospital for 28 years in the office. Graduate of Belvidere High School, Class of 1965. Lifelong Boone County resident. Member of Garden Prairie United Church of Christ. She was unit commissioner for the Boy Scouts of Boone County. Survived by husband, Terry of Belvidere; mother, Maxine Osterberg of Garden Prairie; son, Kevin (Tammy) White Sr. of Belvidere; daughter, Kimberly Romero of Poplar Grove; nine grandchildren; brothers, Dennis (Rebecca) Osterberg of Belvidere, Dale (Sharon) Osterberg of Poplar Grove, Robert (Valerie) Osterberg and Brian (Cindy) Osterberg, both of Garden Prairie. Predeceased by father, Russell; and brother, Gary. Services at noon Saturday, Dec. 13, in Belvidere Funeral Home, 203 Logan Ave., Belvidere, the Rev. Dale Beaman, pastor of Garden Prairie United Church of Christ, officiating. Interment in East Bonus Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, in the funeral home. Memorials to the Garden Prairie United Church of Christ or Blackhawk Area Council Boy Scouts of America.

My condolences to Brian and his family. It is so sad, but we didn't want to see her suffer any more. She is in good hands now and feels fine. For the living it's always sad, especially at the Holidays. May "God" keep you all in "His" arms, always.
