PAUL G. STORY ROCKFORD - Paul G. Story passed away from this earthly life on March 13, 2013. Born July 9, 1928, in Dubuque, Iowa, to George E. and Abigail (Stacey) Story. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War and was awarded two Purple Hearts. He was a well-known and respected used car dealer who owned Story Motor Sales for 55 years. He loved all sports, especially golf, and he was proud that he had one, "Hole in one". He was an avid Chicago Bears fan, even though he wore a Packer jacket this past winter. He was also a great bargain hunter! For the past 15 months he was on dialysis and knew that every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday he would have to go "to his job", as he called it, for four hours each day. The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone at DaVita Churchview Dialysis for their kind and compassionate care. Survivors include many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Dorothy Story. He was predeceased by his parents, one sister and five brothers. A private graveside burial will be held for Paul at Greenwood Cemetery. Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Rockford Chapel, was honored to have assisted the family.
