I never met Dick but I too felt like I got to know a piece of him through all of the stories Susan would tell at work. I met Dick on several occasions when I went to the house to get Susan for a timberlake play on a couple of occasions. He was a very nice, generous fella, and cooked a mean steak dinner. My thoughts and prayers are with you Susy & your family. We will be getting together soon after everything settles down. hugs--pat

We will always smile when we remember all the good times we had at the gun shows. Shopping and registering for rooms. Jake and Bill had more fun just trying to get the other one going. Jake was such a special guy, we will all miss him.

Jake had a sparkling, mischevious smile that could only be outdone by his wit and warmth. He will be missed, and always loved!

Jake will always have a very special place in my heart. He was a great man. I remember all the hours we spent together at the gun shows and at the "Blue Mountain Ranch". I still have the deer antler he made into a wistle for me from 25 years ago. He was always great to talk to and learn from. Corey Council

I am one 12 year old girl that crawled like a marine sniper up onto a small dike below Jake's house last fall after asking him to go after a buck that we had watched enter his grass patch. I was carrying a 20 gauge shotgun that was given to my family by Jake for us kids to hunt with. I will always love that special farm for ever and ever because I shot my first buck on it that day with a special gun that a very generous person "Jake" gave us. Jake's "Blue Mountain Ranch" was just up the hill and witnessed the hunt of my lifetime. I thank you Susan for sharing Jake with me and my family and for the hug you gave me when I brought my buck up to the house to show you two.
