RITA LOU MITCHELL, 83 SYCAMORE - Rita Lou Mitchell, 83, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb. She was born Aug. 24, 1929, in Ashton, daughter of Nels T. and Sarah (Roe) Grover. She graduated from Ashton High School in 1947. Rita married Clay Mitchell on July 30, 1948, at the Rochelle Untied Methodist Church. She worked more than 20 years for McCoy Chiropractic Clinic. She was predeceased by parents; husband; two brothers, Roe and Neil; four sisters, Charlene, Phyllis, Barbara and Doris. Survived by her four children, Mark (Karen) Mitchell of Kingston, Sarah (James) Dempsey of Oshkosh, Wis., Charles Mitchell of Adeline and the Rev. Timothy (Jody) Mitchell of West Chicago; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 110 S. Seventh St., Oregon, Ill., with the Rev. Alan L. Meyer, pastor of Reynolds United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial in Lighthouse Cemetery.
