ROBERT H. REED, 76 WINNEBAGO - Robert H. Reed, 76, of Winnebago, died Sunday, September 15, 2013, in his home, following a lengthy illness. Born April 24, 1937, in Dodgeville, Wis., the son of Harley and Elva (Womack) Reed. Graduated from Chandler High School, Ariz. in 1955. Served in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1959. He then obtained his Bachelor and Masters degrees from UW Platteville. Bob married Faye Ann Johnsen on August 24, 1957, in Cobb, Wis. He was a teacher and communications salesman in the Rockford area. Bob was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, the Winnebago Lions Club and Westfield Community Center. He enjoyed music and sports, especially his granddaughters' performances, along with collecting antique garden tractors. Bob is lovingly survived by his wife, Faye Ann; sons, David (Jean) and Doug (Sandy) Reed; granddaughters, Erica (John) Edquist, Kaitlin Reed, Brittany Reed, and Rachel Reed; brother, Richard (Gail) Reed; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and infant brother, Roger. Service is at 3 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2013, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, with visitation 1 p.m. until service time; the Rev. Steve Shullanberger, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Winnebago, will officiate. Cremation rites were accorded.
