SHARON MARIE WHEELER, 70 ROCKFORD - Sharon Marie Wheeler, 70, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, after a brief illness. Born Oct. 9, 1942, in Chicago to James R. and Jeanette (Wright) Bell. She married Lowell Wheeler and shared 49 loving years together, raising three children. They loved traveling in their RV. Sharon enjoyed shopping, reading, trips to the casinos and NASCAR. She loved to play with her grandchildren, challenging them to a variety of computer games. She had a beautiful voice and she would delight her family with special songs. Her dog, Jake was her comforting companion. She would close with "LOL Hot Damn". Survived by husband, Lowell; daughters, Kimberly (Joel) Rostamo and Kelly (Barry) Price; brothers, James (Nena) and Steven (Jan) Bell; grandchildren, Brandy, Brittany, Jack and Jessica; and sister, Shirley Slater. Predeceased by parents; son, Kevin; stepfather, Dave Livingston; and sister, Susan. Thank you to Northern Illinois Hospice and Grief Center for their care and kindness.
