I'm stunned and saddened. I grew up with Sherry and have many indelible memories. All of my love to Judy and Fred, who truly were like a second set of parents to me, to my lifelong best friend and brother Steve, and to Sherry’s son Josh, whom I unfortunately do not really know since I've lived the latter half of my life in California. I’m so, so sorry for your loss.

Fred and Judy and Family,
Our love and prayers for you . Karen and I know the devastation that you feel. The news brought back the memories of losing our daughter Sherri.
If I could change one thing in this world I would fix it so no parent would ever have to lose a child.
Sherry was a lovely person and she will be missed.
May you receive comfort from your Lord and Savior today and forever.

I went to school with sherri, she always hated when I spelled her name like that, but I thought it was cooler back then. I could tell you stories of the things we did but I won't, they are our stories. We spent a lot of time watching Luke & Laura on General Hospital, eating cookie dough and hanging out at Alpine pool. I think she was part fish, she would do flips off the diving board and don't even get me started about her on the trampoline. She was fearless back then, fearless!! I was always in awe of her, she was taller, way prettier and smarter than me. She was friendly and funny and the first person to offer help to a friend and always tried to make you feel at ease. We graduated together and nearly didn't graduate together. Crazy fun is what she was and a good loyal friend if you let her be. We could not talk to each other for a year and yet it was just like we just talked the day before. She watched my kids when they were little long before she had Josh. I remember her being nervous the first time she watched my daughter, but when I came to pick her up it was like she had done it forever. She loved Josh, he was all she talked about the last time we spoke. He is and always will be the Love of her life, she said he was the greatest thing she ever did!. I will miss her but never forget the crazy, caring, funny, kind, silly, honest, loyal friend she was to me. I'll see ya when I see ya, R.I.P.. we'll talk then.

I had the great pleasure in meeting Sherry through our parents. Our parents grew up together and hung out at the Rockford house. We had some fun swimming parties! My heart goes out to you Fred, Judy, Steve, Michele and all the others who knew Sherry because like myself, I have lost someone very, very close to me and it is a lost feeling inside. I will keep you in my prayers that God will heal you and make you strong to get through this. We love you all!!!

I have known Sherry for many years and I will deeply miss her. This is such a shock. I have loved Sherry since the first day I meet her. She was so giving to the point she would go without so others could have. Josh was not only the love of her life he was also her best friend in all things and the bond they shared was a wonder to witness. I will truly miss her late night phone calls and her loving arms when ever they were needed. I loved you Sherry and will miss you and your goofy laugh. Deedee

I am so so sorry for your loss. I know that there are no words to say that can ease your pain. Sherry was a beautiful person who's love was never ending. Not only for Josh but for my daughter Rachel and my grandchildren. She loved them like they were her own. Her kindness and warmth will never be forgotten and her smile, her humor and her laughter will live on in all of us who were honored to know her and call her our friend!!

I wish to send my most heartfelt condolences in the loss of Sherry. I worked with her for a short time in South Beloit, and she could always bring out a smile or laugh. I only wish I could have known her longer, but will hold on to the memories which I do have. My deepest sympathy to Sherry's family and friends; she was a very special person and will truly be missed.
