William Lint Obituary

WILLIAM C. 'BILL' LINT, 72 ROCKFORD - William C. "Bill" Lint, 72, of Rockford died at 7:49 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2011, in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born May 8, 1939, in Mapleton, Maine, the son of William and Mildred (Kenney) Lint. Served in the U.S. Army. He married Nancy Goodrid on Nov. 2, 1962, in Carmel, Calif. Bill moved to Rockford in 1966. He was a test lab technician for Sundstrand Corp., for many years. He enjoyed auto racing. Survived by his former wife, Nancy; sons, Kevin Lint of Seattle and Andrew (Laura) Lint of Rockford; granddaughter, Valrie Lint; and sisters, Claudine (Mac) Brown of Maine, Anna (Cyril) McCarthy of New Brunswick, Canada and Wanda (Patrick) Passero of Maine. Predeceased by son, Jonathan Lint; and his parents. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at Olson Funeral & Cremation Services Ltd., North Main Chapel, 2811 N. Main St., with visitation from 10 to 10:45 a.m.; the Rev. Dr. Murray Hanson will officiate. Memorials to Rockford Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 1958, Rockford, IL 61110.
