DAVID R. A. STEWARD, 25 ROCKFORD - David Ronald Arthur Steward, 25, of Rockford went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012. Born July 18, 1987, in Rockford, he was the son of Ronda Steward. On Dec. 23, 2006, he married Kassondra Hopkins in Rockford. He was a graduate of Arkansas Northeastern College in Paragould, Ark., where he completed his education on April 30, 2005. David enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2007. He completed his Basic Training at Fort Benning, Ga. After completing Basic Training, David was stationed in Hawaii, where he was part of the 227th Infantry Regiment. In 2007, he served his country while deployed to Iraq, during the Iraq Gulf War. His survivors include wife, Kassondra; daughter, Kayeleigh Marie; sons, Michael Ryan Athony and Marcus Allen, all of the home; mother, Ronda M. Steward; brother, Derek T. Steward; and sister, Cheyanne J. Steward, all of Rector, Ark.; grandparents, Ronald & Darla Steward; special grandma, Shirley Moore of Rockford; great-grandparents, Dorothy Welch of Rockford, Beulah Steward, and Norman (Merrita) Steward of Piggott, Ark.; uncle, Ronald A. Steward; aunts, Michelle (Wayne) Steward-Wheeler, and Sherry (Chuck) Wright, all of Rockford; father-in-law, George (Angel) Hopkins Jr., of Rector, Ark.; mother-in-law, Angie Ruth of Texas; Kassondra's grandparents, George and Aline Hopkins of Marmaduke, Ark.; many cousins, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by great-grandpa, Arthur Welch; and cousin, Michael A. Steward. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 7000 W.
