BENA B. ARDUINO ROCKFORD - Bena B. Arduino, formerly of Rockford, departed her earthly life Friday, March 15, 2013, in Dallas Texas. Born, April 25, 1921 to Anthony and Rose (Raimondo) Basile, in Rockford. Bena lived most of her early life in Madison, Wisconsin, where she attended Central High School, and later went on to marry Anthony Vincent Arduino, on November 15, 1947. She was happiest when she was cooking, knitting, and sewing for anyone she could. Bena leaves to cherish her loving memory, sons, Paul, Anthony (Joyce), Timothy (Natalie) Arduino; grandchildren, Nicholas, Michael, Matthew Arduino, Kate Van Sickle, Jennifer Purnell, Emmie, and Julia Rose Arduino; and several adorable great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Victoria Purnell; and brother, Thomas Basile. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 21 at Holy Family Catholic Church 4401 Highcrest Rd Rockford, 61107. Father Edward Seisser officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, 61115. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
