JANICE THOMAS, 60 ROCKFORD - Janice Thomas, 60, of Rockford departed this earthly life, Friday, January 31, 2014, at Rockford Memorial Hospital, after a sudden illness. She was born December 11, 1953, in Prescott, Arkansas; the daughter of Charlie and Rossetta Latin. Janice lived most of her life in Rockford, coming from Arkansas. She married Clifford Thomas. She was last employed in housekeeping by SwedishAmerican Hospital. Janice was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She attended Jefferson High School, later to receive her GED. Janice leaves to cherish many loving memories, her husband, Clifford; two daughters, Latannya (Raymond) Barbary, and Lynn Jones; son, Jeremy (Markeshia) Currin; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Latin; three sisters, Rose (Jesse) Gray, Gwendolyn Latin, and Carol Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friend, Leroy Smith. She was predeceased by her parents; one sister; and two brothers. Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014, at Liberty Baptist Church, 3500 Preston St. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E.
