JOSEPH W. FLEMING, 85 MACHESNEY PARK - Joseph W. Fleming, 85, of Machesney Park passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at home, surrounded by family. Born Feb. 5, 1929, in Rockford, son of William A. and Isabelle (Williams) Fleming. Graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1947. Attended Miami University. Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. Employed by Woodward Governor for 35 years, retiring in 1984. Member of the Tebala Shriners. Member of the Loves Park Masonic Lodge for 64 years. Avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. Survivors include daughter, Karen (Chris) Milburn; sons, Brian (Pam) and Scott (Melody) Fleming; grandchildren, Michael and Andrew (Hillary) Fleming, Courtney and Kyle (Jessie) Milburn; great-grandchildren, Brielle and Jarrett Fleming; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son, Craig; brother, Fred; and nephew, Mike. Special thanks to VNA Hospice for their care and compassion.
