VIRGINIA M. MILLER, 95 ROCKFORD - Virginia M. Miller, 95, of Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, in her home. Born August 4, 1918, in Stockton, Ill.; the daughter of Harry and Nola (Vanderheyden) Morse. She was a graduate of Rockford College. Virginia married Warren R. Miller Jr. June 14, 1941, in Rockford; he predeceased her Aug. 7, 2011. She was a member of Second Congregational Church, Leona B. Gordon Circle, ran the Second Shop for many years, and belonged to Rockford PEO chapter C.J. since 1974, Rock River Valley Needle Work Guild and King's Daughters. Virginia enjoyed family trips to Door County, golf leagues at Mauh-Nah-Tee-See and Forest Hills Country Clubs. She was very proud of her "Ace on 11" license plate. She is survived by her daughter, Martha (Peter) Lewis of Lisle, Ill.; granddaughter, Jennifer Lewis; brother-in-law, James (Darlene) Miller; sister-in-law, Jo Miller, all of Rockford; and several nieces. The family would like to give a special thanks to Jinny's caregivers, Jennifer and Steve Giuliano. Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014, in Gordon Chapel at Second Congregational Church, 318 N. Church St., Rockford, with Pastor Fred Krauss officiating.
