WILMA L. 'TOOT' COPELAND ROCKFORD - Wilma L. "Toot" Copeland, of Rockford departed this earthly life Sunday, March 2, 2014, in her home, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 7, 1955, in Dorena, Missouri; the daughter of Roy and Nina Williamson. Wilma lived in Rockford since 1978, coming from Mound City, IL. She was a member of The House of God Church. She attended school in Missouri. Wilma, leaves to cherish many loving memories, daughter, Jerri Copeland; son, Marcus (Tracy) Copeland; seven grandchildren, Teranie, Donquez, Xzavery, Dieshanek, Tenoah, Tanaisha, and Marcus Jr.; two great- grandchildren, Donquez Jr., and Zaniyah; two sisters, Williestene Williams and Daisy (Stan) Dismuke; brother, Johnny Williamson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special nieces, Wanda Franklin and Samantha Cole; and special friends, Ronald Taylor and Janice Walker. She was predeceased by her parents, seven brothers, and three sisters. Special thanks to Dr. Merat Esfahani and staff at SwedishAmerican Cancer Center and Northern Illinois Hospice. Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, at House of God, 840 Brooke Rd. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E.
