Willie Mae Foster Obituary
WILLIE MAE FOSTER ROCKFORD - Willie Mae Foster, of Rockford departed this earthly life Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Amberwood Nursing Home, after a long illness. She was born January 23, 1937, in West Point, MS; the daughter of Will and Georgia White. Willie Mae lived in Rockford since 1957, coming from Starkville, MS. She married Harold Foster, December 23, 1953, in Starkville. She was last employed in housekeeping by Brookside Medical Center several years. Willie Mae was a member of Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, formerly singing in the choir and in pastor aid group. She attended Oktibbeha County Training School. Willie Mae, leaves to cherish many loving memories, her devoted husband, Harold; three daughters, Deborah Jones, Cynthia and Brenda Foster; one son, Harold (Treva) Foster Jr.; four grandchildren, DaJuan (Kristi) Foster, Christopher and Christine Foster and Chuna Clark; two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and her Allen Chapel Church family. Special thanks to Amberwood Nursing Home. Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2014, at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, 3000 Rural Street. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home, 2429 W. State Street.
