PAULINE R. SPENCER, 91 ROCKFORD - Pauline R. Spencer, 91, of Rockford passed away Friday, March 7, 2014, in River Bluff Nursing Home, following a long illness. Born June 25, 1922, in Freeport, IL to Louis and Cordeila (Hill) Stiegman. Pauline lived most of her life in Rockford and married Roy L. Spencer, in Rockford on January 27, 1961. She was a secretary for the Rockford Public School system, a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Guild and church choir. She belonged to the Independent Order of Foresters and volunteered at the Crusader gift shop. Survivors include sons, Larry (Karen) Spencer, Loves Park and Art (Cindy) Spencer of Machesney Park; daughters, Nancy (Hermilo) Mandujano, Loves Park and Susan Jones of Rockford; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents; husband; and sister, Joyce Brockhausen. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2014, in Anderson-Long-Klontz Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Ltd., 6825 Weaver Road, with Rev. Frank Ciprys, associate pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, officiating. Visitations will be at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 13, and 10 a.m. until service time on Friday. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the family to establish a future memorial.
