KARNA LOUISE PLUMLEY ROCHELLE - Karna Louise Plumley passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Rochelle Community Hospital. Karna was born November 15, 1932 in Moline, Illinois to Wallace and Helene Eckberg. She married the love of her life, Paul Plumley Jr. in Rochelle, IL on June 10, 1951. There were married for 62 years. Karna was a loving wife and mother who loved spending time with family and friends. Whether it be picnics and hay rides, spontaneous progressive dinners on the cheap, playing bridge or the many, many traditional gatherings with their dear friends. Karna also was a very creative woman with a witty sense of humor. She sewed beautiful clothes for her daughters and herself and loved to tend to her garden and was a whiz at crossword puzzles. In her autumn years, Karna cherished the days that were spent sitting outside in her yard, sipping on a cold Coke, listening to the birds and feeling the sun on her face. Karna left a note in the kitchen for all to read that read "Trust in God". Lord God, we are trusting that you are now continually shining your light of love on her. . . forever. Karna is lovingly remembered and survived by her husband, Paul; her children, Janna (Don) Hunt of DeKalb, Lisa (Darrell) Rainwater of Rochelle, Mark of Forest Park, Todd of Rochelle and Marcie (Dan) Gailey of Rockford; eight grandchildren, Katie and Ryan Hunt, Matthew Rainwater, Aulbrey, Olivia and Ethan Gailey, Lynzie and Karlie Plumley; and three great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents; two sisters, Beverly Schupick and Barbara Morgan; and her grandson, Phillip Rainwater.
