CAROLE MARIE (GIBBON) CAMPBELL, 76 BELOIT, WI - Carole Marie (Gibbon) Campbell, 76, of Beloit, WI, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, in Beloit Memorial Hospital, from complications of diabetes. She was born February 12, 1938, in Belmont, WI, the daughter of William Roy and Iola Elizabeth (Orr) Gibbon. The family moved to Sharon, WI, where she started school, and to Clinton, WI, in 1943, where she graduated from Clinton High School in 1955. Carole enjoyed her years in Clinton and visited there often. Carole was baptized and confirmed in the First Presbyterian Church, Clinton, WI, and transferred her membership to the Beloit Church in 1960, where she served on the Board of Deacons, the Session, Chancel Choir and coordinated a cookbook "Food for Body and Soul". She currently was a member of United Church of Beloit. Carole worked at Warner Electric from 1955 to 2000, when she retired. She traveled to Europe and many of the U.S. Companies affiliated with Warner. Carole served as president, secretary and social chairman for the 25 year club. Over the years she was active in the YMCA, Christian Women' s Council of Rockford, IL, held a Wisconsin Real Estate Brokers license, served on several high school class reunion committees, volunteered with Beloit Memorial Hospital, Hands of Faith and Bible Studies. By far dearest to her heart was her sons, grandchildren, nephews, and niece, Diane, who was like a daughter to her and her extended family. She enjoyed traveling to Europe many times, Canada, and throughout the U.S. Carole loved to cook for her family, friends and church and maintained a large cookbook collection. She always enjoyed the annual pig roast at her cousins in Green Lake, WI. She is survived by and will be sadly missed by her sons, Bradley (Patricia) Campbell of Beloit, WI, and Larry Campbell of Cudahy, WI; grandson, Brett; granddaughter, Brittany; nephews, Steven Gibbon, Gary Kitzman, Gordon (Kandy) Kitzman, and Neal Kitzman; #1 niece, Diane (Ralph) Skalak; sister-in-law, Joan Gibbon; great-nieces, great- nephews, aunts, cousins and dear friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents; parents; sister, Barbara; brother, Floyd Gibbon; aunts, uncles and cousins. Carole's memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Carol Taylor of United Church of Beloit officiating.
