Ovada Zipp Obituary
OVADA LEA ZIPP, 79 ROCKFORD - Ovada Lea Zipp, 79, of Rockford passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, with her family by her side. Ovada was born on April 1, 1934, in Walnut Ridge, AR, the daughter of Ezra and Georgia Cox Huffman. She married Charles J. Zipp on July 15, 1957; Charles preceded her in death on September 14, 2010. Ovada loved crafting, gardening and spending time with her grandkids. Ovada is survived by her daughters, Susan (Geno) Paluzzi and Nancy Zipp; grandchildren, Stacey (Christopher) Haas and Corey (Theresa) Williams; great grandchildren, Mackenzi and Cody Haas, Erika Villani; brother, Murray (Mickey) Huffman; aunt, Margaret Watkins; several nieces and nephews. Ovada was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother; and her twin sister. A service to celebrate Ovada's life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2014, at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
