Obituary Condolences

MARILYN A. MOYER, 85 FRIENDSHIP, Wis. - Marilyn A. Moyer, 85, of Friendship, Wis., went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ April 19, 2014, in St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield, Wis. She was born Oct. 12, 1928, in Seward, Ill., the daughter of Charles E. and Gladys (McCartin) Palmer. She married Roy Moyer June 20, 1969, in Freeport, Ill. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Marilyn worked for 37 years at Barber Coleman Co. as a sales office personnel. Marilyn lived in Byron, Ill. until retiring in 1990 when she and Roy moved to Friendship, Wis. where she enjoyed 24 years of friends, family, and many new acquaintances. She was an active member of United in Christ Lutheran Church where she participated in the Ladies Circle. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose, American Legion Auxiliary, Ladies Auxiliary VFW, and a member of Disabled American Veterans Commanders Club at King's Veterans Home. She loved playing cards with all her friends. She is survived by her son, Gary (Linda) Wright; stepsons, Dale (Mary) Moyer and Cal Moyer; sister, Joyce (Arend) Bolthouse; grandchildren, Amy (Davey) Wright, Brent (Michelle) Wright, Brittany (Elias) Monreal, Heather Moyer, Jordan Moyer, and Macy Adami; great-grandchildren, Camden Wright, Lexis and Cameron Monreal, and Adalia Moyer; and many other relatives. Predeceased by her husband, Roy; parents; infant daughter, Marla Kay; and brother, Wesley Palmer. The family would like to thank all the neighbors and friends for all their help. A special thanks to Northland Home Health (Westfield, Wis.) and a very special thanks to Don and Donna Drye for the help in these last few months. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014, in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Ltd., Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., with the Rev. Dean Parker officiating. Visitation from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service in the funeral home. A memorial service will also be held in Friendship, Wis. at a later date in United in Christ Lutheran Church.
