Glen Hammack Obituary
GLEN ALLEN HAMMACK, 86 ROCKFORD - Glen Allen Hammack, 86, of Rockford went to be with God on Friday, April 25, 2014. Glen was born on October 16, 1927, to Nancy and Allen Frank Hammack in Joplin, MO. He married the love of his life, June Lucille Wolfe, on April 9, 1949; she preceded him in death on October 16, 2013. Glen served in the Navy during WWII and the Marines after. He retired from Testor Corporation. Glen is survived by children, Glen, Jr. (Sue), Frank, Dean (Dennis Wolfe), Tom (Kim), Ginger (Jeff) Stebbins, Karen (Dave) D'Agostin and Dan; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; great-aunt, Sis; brothers-in-law, Dick (Norma) Wolfe and Duke Wolfe; many wonderful nieces and nephews. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister, daughter-in-law, 2 granddaughters, sisters and brothers-in-law. The family would like to extend a special heart felt thank you to Dr. Lim and Transitions Hospice for their care, friendship and love. A service to celebrate Glen's life will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park.
