JERRY C. LINDSAY, 67 MACHESNEY PARK - Jerry C. Lindsay, 67, of Machesney Park passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at home, surrounded by family. Born June 21, 1946, in Freeport, son of Glenn and Helen (Moore) Lindsay. Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy. Employed by Chrysler, retiring in 2002. After retirement, he volunteered at Harlem Roscoe Fire Department for several years. Member of Northeast Christian Church and friend of Bill W., A.A. Survivors include daughter, Diana (Gary) Naser of Machesney Park; grandchildren, Joseph (Candice) Naser of Rockford, Joshua (Megan Johnson) Naser of Rockford and Julie Naser of Machesney Park; great-grandson, Wesley Naser; one great-granddaughter on the way, Lillie Kae Naser-Vrazsity; sister, Linda Northrup of Machesney Park; brother, Gene (Sandi) Lindsay of Machesney Park; numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends from the Augury. Predeceased by his parents; first wife, Theresa Lamb; stepfather, Oval Welker; and brother-in-law, Bob Northrup. Service at 11 a.m. Monday, May 12, at Northeast Christian Church, 5651 E. Riverside Blvd., Rockford, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to service time at church. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport.
