THOMAS E. BEADEL, 92 ROCKFORD - Thomas E. Beadel, 92, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Ill. following a short illness. Thomas was born in Scranton, Pa. on April 18, 1922, the son of Peter Edward Beadel and Florence Joynt Beadel. Thomas married Agnes Moore in Alexandria, La. on June 23, 1942. Thomas was a highly decorated veteran of WWII who served in several key battles in the European Theatre including Omaha Beach and the Battle of the Bulge. Thomas served his country proudly and honorably and he displayed his love of country and family throughout his life. He is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Beadel Bauer and Linda Lee English; grandchildren, Beth English Baxter (Robert), William T. Boehm (Sarah), David P. Boehm, Gregory S. Boehm and Devon J. Bauer; and great-grandchildren, Chloe Paige Baxter, Brenna Elise Baxter and Declan Thomas Boehm; and his beloved feline, Cheyenne, a retired U.S. Air Force mascot. Thomas was pre-deceased by his wife of 57 years, Agnes M. Beadel, who passed away in 1999; his brother, Eugene Beadel; and his parents. Thomas will be missed by his family, and friends at the Bickford House in Rockford whom he also held in high regard. Thomas also doted on his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren and he leaves behind many great memories for them and future generations to cherish. Thomas will be buried in a private ceremony along the Florida coast. A small private ceremony for family and friends will be held at the Bickford House in Rockford.
