Roy Frazier Obituary
ROY ALLEN FRAZIER, 50 ROCKFORD - Roy Allen Frazier, 50, of Rockford, IL died peacefully Tuesday, July 15, 2014, in his home, after a long battle with diabetes. Roy was born October 25, 1963, in Rockford, IL; the son of Sonny and Ruth (Bagley) Frazier. He graduated from Jefferson High School, and was employed as a machinist for Gates Manufacturing for many years prior to his illness. He married Marie A. Haines on April 18, 2003, in Durand, IL. Roy attended Heartland Community Church; was passionate about evangelizing God's Good News; riding motorcycles and was an avid car buff. Roy also was a lover of horses and dogs. Roy is loved and will be missed by his wife, Marie; mother, Ruth Frazier and father, Sonny Frazier, all of Rockford; children, Rodney and Tia; stepchildren, Karrie (Trent) Pace of Poplar Grove, Melissa (Jon) Dickens of Rockford, Ted (Karen) Frazier of Florida, Eva Frazier of Rockford; grandchildren, Amanda, Faith and Bo Dickens and Brandon Pace, and new baby granddaughter, Ada; sister, Penny (Pat) Glavin of Roscoe, Rick (Kim) Frazier and Chad (Tanya) Frazier, both of Rockford; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many friends. Roy is preceded in death by his grandparents. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014, in the chapel of Heartland Community Church, 1280 S. Alpine Road, Rockford, IL, with Rev. Matt Kitchen officiating. Memorial gathering will be from 1:30 p.m. to service time Sunday at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded.
