JUNE M. WOLFE, 85 ROCKFORD - June M. Wolfe, 85, of Rockford, died Sunday, July 20, 2014, in her home. Born June 22, 1929, in Rockford, the daughter of Carl E. Sr. and Ruth M. (Alden) Johnson. Graduate of East High School. She married John H. Wolfe May 7, 1960, in First Lutheran Church, Rockford. He predeceased her Nov. 3, 2008. June worked in medical records at SwedishAmerican Hospital for 38 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She is survived by her daughter, Joanne Wolfe of Rockford; sisters, Lois Larson and Jeanne Levine of Rockford; sister-in-law, Kay Johnson of Palatine, Ill.; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friend, Vicki Braun. Predeceased by her brother, Carl E. Johnson Jr.; sister, Jeanette Herdklotz; and brothers-in-law, Charles Larson, Earl Herdklotz, and Harold Levine. Special thank you to the staff from Northern Illinois Hospice and Comfort Keepers for their compassionate care. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Ltd., Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., with the Rev. Donald Lavelle officiating. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation from 12 to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Center for Sight and Hearing, 8038 MacIntosh Ln., Rockford, IL 61107; or Northern Illinois Hospice, 4215 Newburg Rd., Rockford, IL 61108.
