Allene Rose Chermak, 95 MOUNT MORRIS - Allene Rose Chermak, 95, of Mount Morris died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, in Pinecrest Manor. She was born Feb. 12, 1915, in Crown Point, Ind., to James Arthur and Rosa Stegmeier Frame. She graduated from Merrillville (Ind.) High School and Indiana State Teacher's College, Terre Haute, Ind. She taught elementary school from 1934 to 1943 and worked for Chris Craft Corp., Holland, Mich. During World War II, she married George Chermak on Sept. 3, 1941, in Deep River, Ind. Survivors include sons, Paul (Linda) of Byron, Mark (Diane) of Cicero, N.Y., and Philip of Lafayette, Colo.; grandchildren, Kristina Chermak of Rockford, David Chermak of Portland, Ore., Kim (Roland) Sherer of Aurora, Colo., Nicole Clousing of Loveland, Colo., Carri (Robert) Hillyer of Casper, Wyo., Chad Chermak of Loveland, Daniel (Jamie) Chermak of Loveland and Timothy (Mary Jane) Chermak of Liverpool, N.Y.; great-grandchildren, Killian and Kurtis Sherer, Taylor Clousing, Payton and Colton Hillyer, Lainey, Rebecca, Alexander, Faith and Matthew Chermak. Also predeceased by her husband of 63 years; son, Joel Luke; and infant daughters, Sharon Rose and Marcia Ann; sister, Zelda Frame; and her brother, Irvin Frame. Service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, in Ebenezer Reformed Church, with Pastor Brion Brooks officiating. Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, in Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 506 W. Merchant St., Byron. Memorial fund is established for the Ebenezer Reformed Church.
